剧情简介

　　故事发生在第一集之后的6个月之后，瑞切尔·凯勒(纳奥米·沃茨饰)在西雅图经过连番恐怖事件之后，希望逃离这段恐怖的记忆，为此她带着儿子艾丹(大卫·多夫曼饰)远迁到宁静美丽的沿海城市，俄勒冈的艾斯特里亚，希望这里的风光能慢慢医治留在两个人心里的阴影。

　　然而恐怖总是如影随形，瑞切尔希望逃避恐怖的信心很快被当地发生的一起罪恶粉碎，在罪案现场，警察发现了一卷神秘的没有题目的录影带，一切看起来都是那么熟悉:诅咒再次复生，恐怖加速蔓延……

　　瑞切尔在这里刚刚找到一份新工作:新闻记者马克思·洛克(西蒙·贝克饰)的助手，在一桩新闻事件的调查中，瑞切尔在警察局档案室中发现了一个非常神秘的"X档案"，这是一个年轻女孩的离奇死亡案，案件至今未破，现场的证据只有一盘神秘的录影带。

　　就在瑞切尔的调查进一步展开的时候，艾丹突然出现生病，全身发冷并且皮肤上出现许多不明原因的伤痕，医生将这些作为孩子遭受虐待的证据，而瑞切尔知道，这是凶铃作祟，贞子再次返回，残忍地继续这个死亡和恐怖的循环游戏。现在，要挽救自己的孩子，瑞切尔只有再次回到西雅图，继续调查贞子的身世之迷……

　　·片中瑟姆拉的黑色长发是用真人头发制成的假发。

　　·为了扮演莎玛拉，凯丽·斯泰伯斯不得不戴上白色隐形眼镜。

　　·因为野性难训，影片拍摄中没有使用真实的鹿，片中的鹿都是用电脑生成的。另外，在古代日本，鹿是神的使者，要像珍宝一样保护。

　　·纳奥米·沃茨亲自完成了大部分井中的攀爬场景。

　　·为了让瑟姆拉在井中的动作越发诡异，剧组请来了精通柔术的特技演员邦妮·摩根来担任替身。

　　·制片方最初曾希望由商业电视导演诺姆·穆罗来执导本片，但后者因意见分歧而放弃。

　　·理查德·凯利也曾为该片导演的人选。

　　·在拍摄狂欢节的场景时，当地人误以为是真正的狂欢节而一起加入，他们变成了影片中的临时演员。
