剧情简介

　　在纽约的曼哈顿，，一个如往常一般炎热的日子里，51桑树街 的居民正在哀叹他们悲惨的生活，倒塌的大厦、高额的房租、暴涨的油价、伊拉克的战争还有一天比一天难耐的酷暑遮蔽了生活所有的亮色。这时谁也不知道这个城市的某些部分正在暗中改变着，直到这种变化已经成为一种不可逆的力量。

　　在地铁上一个乘客被一只狂躁的老鼠咬伤了，而在城市的另外一个地方也有人同样被老鼠袭击。这些被咬的人身体发生了怪异的变化，直到成为另一个可怕的物种。而引起这种变化的病毒正在城市中蔓延。很快街道上便挤满了这些新生的怪物，他们一个个充满邪恶与力量，具有毁灭一切的欲望。

　　幸存者中退休的拳击手克拉奇此时与其他六个被从51桑树街驱赶出来的房客正在一所房间中紧张的封门、堵窗，以阻止外面蜂拥而来的异类。究竟他们的挣扎能支持多久……
