2009年7月27日，“ROME, Italy, July 27. SWEDEN's Sarah Sjostrom completed a full renovation of the women's 100 fly world record at the FINA World Championships.Having already shot down Inge de Bruijn's world record yesterday with a 56.44, Sjostrom smashed that swim with an amazing 56.06 in the finale this evening.”

史上最快的女子100米蝶泳纪录：2016年8月7日举行的里约奥运会女子100米蝶泳项目中，瑞典选手萨拉·索斯特伦获得金牌并创下新的世界纪录。当天，萨拉游出了55秒48的成绩，打破了此前同样是由她自己创下的55秒64的世界纪录。
