工作业绩
在美期间，主要参与美国FDA的天然植物药物和食品补充剂研究项目。在提取分离纯化标準品，质量控制研究过程中，从原产地为巴西的减肥产品Cha de Bugre中发现了24个新的化合物，包括系列稀有的Clerodane 和Ent-kaurane型二萜苷和含氮二萜类化合物，以及罕见的三聚体木质素等。通过深入细緻的成分研究，结合HPLC、HPTLC和生药学基源鉴定等技术手段，指出和纠正Cha de Bugre基源为Casearia sylvestris （Flacourtiaceae）而不是Cordia salicifolia (Boraginaceae)。为该产品的成分研究，安全性再评价和深入的质量标準研究作出了重要贡献。从来源于印度的着名传统药物Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) 中首次发现了8个新化合物，尤其是发现5个18，19位开环齐墩果酸型的新骨架三萜皂苷，并报导了相关抗疟疾和抗微生物活性。从另一巴西传统药用植物“Acai”(Euterpe oleracea)中首次分离得到4个新的具有强氧化性多酚化合物和新木质素成份。在美四年多期间以第一作者完成11篇SCI研究论文。
博士期间，以第一作者发表了6篇SCI论文。从民间传统药物异型南五味子中首次发现了22个结构新颖的新化合物和相关的抗爱滋、抗肿瘤活性，建立了多成分HPLC含量测定方法和指纹图谱。
组织完成了十多个国家级中西新药（原二、三类）和保健食品的研究开发工作，协调各合作单位和生产厂家，获得了十个临床批文（颐神养脑胶囊，川红活血胶囊，阿克他利片、法力胶囊、宫环止血片、丹龙醒脑片、口疮宁片、肠宁凝胶、经安片和丹芍化纤胶囊）和二个保健食品证书（克乏胶囊、尔康胶囊）。
其他方面
完成深圳赛百诺基因药物公司委託的“基因治疗药物重组腺病毒P-53注射剂的评估”中主要技术调研、评估工作 (2000)；
完成国内上市公司烟台发展委託的“定量萤光PCR技术谘询”中主要技术调研、评估、评价工作 (2001)。
